The new MacBook Air has been on the verge of coming out for weeks. But at last it looks as if Apple is about to pull the wrappers off of its updated slimline machines, with an announcement pegged for 21 or 22 July.
That’s according to All Things D, which has a strong track record in getting the very best information from inside Apple. It says “several sources” have confirmed the aforementioned dates, with one even sticking their head above the parapet and saying Apple fan sites were wrong to say the MacBook Air would be out this week.
As well as Intel’s Sandy Bridge processors and Thunderbolt I/O, it seems the machines will come with a minimum 128GB SSD, as opposed to the 64GB available now. Each one will also have a backlit keyboard.
