iPhone 5 white and silver models out at launch

Exclusive images of what purport to be genuine parts for the iPhone 5 have crossed the editorial desk at t3 towers, giving us possibly the first hard facts about the iPhone 5 to date.

- Check out the exclusive iPhone 5 pictures here

Sourced from a ‘reliable’ supplier of UK firm Replacebase.co.uk, the tantalising images show off two parts believed to be Apple iPhone 5 parts. Our man at the company said: “They certainly follow Apples design features, and are well made.”

While the images themselves are technical at the extreme there’s some interesting details to be learned due to the differences between these ‘iPhone 5’ parts, and existing iPhone 4 spares.

The iPhone 5 will be available in both white and silver at launch (due to a white headphone socket) and due to the headphone cable having its connection in the middle the headphone jack may be positioned differently - possibly at the bottom of the phone.

The iPhone 5 will have external buttons and mute switch (in spite of  rumours about Apple removing the external buttons), and  the iPhone 5 dock connector looks unchanged from the iPhone 4.

What features and specs would you most like to see land on the Apple iPhone 5 when it launches later this year? Let us know via the T3 Twitter and Facebook feeds.
