rbb Public Relations

rbb employees participate in a 2009 Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Working in or out of the office, this PR firm provides a homey, flexible work environment for its employees.

You know you have a great workplace when employees aren't required to come into the office, but want to anyway. "They can work from home, they can work from the beach, I don't care," says Christine Barney, CEO of rbb Public Relations. "We have systems in place to make that work." Workers might prefer working at the office, however. Fondly referred to as "Casa rbb," rbb's offices were recently revamped over 18 months, transforming the office into a more communal space that feels more like a home, complete with living rooms and den rooms. Employees are also treated like family, every one is allowed a say in the business. Every employee joins one of four operational groups that decide what to buy, what to develop, what to market, and what would build a more cohesive and functional office. rbb employees also enjoy a healthy vacation policy that appreciates over time.
